9 precautions for setting the time and date for mechanical watches
(1) The setting of the calendar, day of the week and moon phase of the clock should not be done between 21:00 - 3:00 of the time. During this time, the calendar function is in operation and even when the gear engagement level is low. Such an action can damage the inner parts of the watch.
(2) The day and calendar tabs are divided into two types due to the different grids, fast and slow. The first type is completed within ±5 minutes, and the second type is completed within 3 hours.
(3) Do not pull too hard on a watch with a screw crown, but turn it counterclockwise to open the locked crown. After setting the time, turn the crown clockwise and press it into the lock to avoid entering the water.
(4) If you need to set the date of a watch with calendar, please first set the calendar to the day before the desired date, and then turn the hour hand to set the date. The date changes when the hour hand passes 12:00, which can avoid direct date setting. Confuses day and night.
(5) Please do not set the date between 22:00 and 2:00 (for some watches between 20:00 and 4:00), as this may cause damage to the watch and an incorrect calendar jump.
(6) In order to extend the life of the watch, many watches use the slow jump method, that is, the time span is gradually skipped at midnight. In general, it is normal to finish the jump before 2:00 in the morning, and some guards are finished by 4:00. So you will not be surprised to see that the date on your watch has not changed at 1 am.
(7) It can be adjusted when the calendar jumps during the day. If it is found that the calendar jumps around noon time during the day, the time of the clock usually goes 12 hours faster or slower. For example, it's actually 11 o'clock now, but the clock is about To 11 in the afternoon, all you need to do is turn the hour hand of the clock one round to switch the afternoon to the morning.
(8) In general, the watch must be rotated clockwise to adjust the time, not counterclockwise. Turning the watch counterclockwise can easily cause the watch needle deviation (the quartz watch with two hands should be rotated counterclockwise). It also affects the accuracy of the watch.
(9) Different watch types have different setting methods, but the factors morning and afternoon must be taken into account when setting watches with calendar function
