Light rays which are reflected become polarized. This JJC professional ultra slim multi-coated Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can eliminates ultraviolet rays from outdoor shots as well as polarizing the light to eliminate unwanted reflections and glare from water, snow, glass, window and other non-metallic surfaces. It also saturates colors providing better contrast, which is mostly used to deepen the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. The effect can be seen through the camera's viewfinder and changed by rotating the front adjusting ring. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun, strongest effect when used at a 90 degree angle from the sun. It is an ideal and must have gear for outdoor and landscape photography.
Attenion Please:
1. Don't screw the CPL filter to your lens too tight, as after some time of use the filter will be combined with the lens more closely due to the changes of surrounding environment, temperature and humidity, making the filter difficult to be removed.
2. To get off the filter, unscrew the inner ribbed ring (against the lens) counter clockwise (Attention: not the outer rotating ring on the front!). In case it is still too tight to be removed, get a rubber band and put it around the circumference of the filter, this will give you a better grip, or get a plastic filter wrench sold on the market.
3. A CPL filter is also a weaker neutral density filter, it will reduce the camera exposure for 1 1/3 f-stops.
4. Recommend to use a tripod and remote shutter cord together for the best performance.
