What is Melt and Pour Soap Base?
Melt and Pour Soap Base is a pre-made soap that you can melt down, add scent and colorants and let harden inside your own molds.
It’s an easy way to make your own customized soap at home without having to handle some of the more caustic chemicals like lye or purchasing safety gear.
The soap base already went through the full saponification process (the chemical reaction that makes lye safe for skin), therefore you can enjoy your soap immediately, rather than waiting 4-6 weeks for it to completely cure as with the cold process.

Melt and Pour Soap Base Directions:
Cut soap base into pieces
Cut the Pifito Melt and Pour Soap Base into small chunks and place into a container. Heat soap in a microwave, at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one. Melted base should be smooth and liquidy, with no lumps or chunks. Alternatively, the soap base can be melted in a double boiler.
Add essential oils and colorants
Add colorants, fragrance oil or essential oil to the melted soap. If desired add florals.
Pour mixture into mold
Slowly pour soap into mold. Soap should be hard enough to unmold in a few hours.
Let soap cool until hardens
Once completely hardened, pop the bars out of the mold. You can use your soap right away.
