This comprehensive kit includes three types of filters, each engineered for a specific filtration purpose, ensuring that your drinking water remains crystal clear and great-tasting throughout the year.
The kit includes one 5-Micron Sediment Filter (WP104017), which is essential for reducing larger particulate matter such as dirt, silt, and rust that can negatively impact both the taste and appearance of your water. It also includes one 5-Micron Activated Carbon Pre-Filter (WP101009), which conditions the water and reduces chlorine taste and odors, ensuring that your water is not only safe but also enjoyable to drink. The final component of the kit is the 10" GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) Inline Post-Filter (WP560010). With a flow rate of 0.5 gpm (1.9 lmp) and a capacity of 1500 gallons, this filter is highly effective at removing chemicals that contribute to unpleasant odors and tastes, such as hydrogen sulfide (rotten eggs odor) and chlorine. It is important to note that while the GAC post-filter excels at removing these chemicals, it is not effective at removing minerals, salts, and dissolved inorganic compounds. The filter includes 1/4" FNTP connections, though a compression tee is not included.
