How to replace a 6501KW2002A Rotor Position Sensor Switch?

Make sure you unplugged the appliance before the beginning of the repair.

The first step is to unscrew and remove the rear panel. Next, rotate the rotor clockwise before using a 17-millimeter socket to apply pressure and loosen the mounting bolt. After that, remove the bolt and washer.

To remove the rotor from the tub, begin by unscrewing the screws that hold the stator wire retainers and bracket in place, as well as the grounding screw. Next, remove the bolts securing the stator. Finally, pull the stator off of the tub. To remove the old sensor, begin by disconnecting the motor sensor wire harness. Using a small flat-head screwdriver, release the locking tab and then gently pull out the sensor.

To install the new motor sensor, align it on the stator and snap it into place. Connect the wire harness. Reposition the stator on the tub, securing it with bolts. Secure grounding wire too.
