Indigo Powder as Black Hair Dye

• Indigo is one of the oldest known dyes and is derived by grinding leaves of the plant genre Indigofera. Indigo powder does not contain ammonia, PPD, or any other chemicals and hence can be used regularly with Henna Powder and is usually preferred as a natural and safe alternative to its synthetic counterparts.
• Note: Before using Indigo Powder, you need to prime your hair with Henna treatment to and Indigo Powder should be used after to dye your hair in Black Shade. We recommend using our Proud Planet Organic Henna Powder.

Using Indigo Powder

1. First, treat your hair with henna.
2. Then mix the Indigo Powder(100 gms for short hair, 200 gms for shoulder-length hair, 300 gms for long hair) in warm water to prepare a paste.
3. Apply on your hair using gloves Leave on for 45 minutes or more depending on the preferred intensity. It's advisable to keep it on your hair for upto 2 hours to get rich black color.
4. Rinse throughly with water.
5. Wash your hair with a cleaning shampoo the next day.
