What ages is this appropriate for?

The questions in the Teens Pack are purposefully designed by family & communication experts to be relevant and engaging for ages 12-19. You can confidently pull any card, knowing it will be suitable for that age group.

Will my teenager actually want to engage with these questions?

Yes! Your teen probably wants to talk with you more than you think! These casual chats are easier for teens to engage in when they see you're interested in hearing what they have to say, and they don’t feel like they’re being interrogated or judged.

Is this going to create uncomfortable conversations?

There are some sensitive (but necessary) conversations that parents need to have with teens that may become uncomfortable. The Teens Pack is designed to facilitate these important discussions while reducing awkwardness as much as possible.

Why should I use these cards instead of just asking "How was your day?" like I always do?

How was your day' gets boring fast! Our cards are an easy way to start conversations when you want to spend meaningful time together but don’t have the energy, time or inspiration to come up with interesting questions that pique everyone’s interest.

What's the difference between the Family, Kids, and Teens packs? Which one should we use as a family?

The Family pack is appropriate for all ages with more open, general prompts that work for everyone. The Kids and Teens packs are more targeted to the topics and interests of those ages to hone in on conversation that will engage them more deeply.
