Bioactive B-vitamin forms

Super B-Complex Effervescent delivers nutrients in their most bioavailable and effective forms, so they are instantly usable. We use a boosted dose of vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin (rather than the cheaper poorly absorbed cyanocobalamin form) for enhanced uptake. We use 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate which is the body-ready form of folate, as 6S-5-methyltetrahydrofolate (most standard supplements contain synthetic folic acid). We also use the active form of riboflavin, riboflavin-5-phosphate. Similarly, we include vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate, the only form of B6 with cofactor activity.

Energy production

The body is reliant on a constant supply of B-vitamins to support the production of energy: vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and folate are required to produce energy from carbohydrates, protein and fats in the diet; vitamin B6 helps break down stored energy; vitamin B12 is required for the production of cellular energy in the body. Together, these nutrients support energy production and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Mental performance

Vitamin B5 contributes to normal mental performance. We use the calcium-D-pantothenate form which is the more stable, biologically active form of vitamin B5.
