Customer Questions
- Are Allmax batteries rechargeable?
Allmax batteries labeled "Rechargeable" can be recharged. Standard Allmax alkaline batteries CANNOT be recharged. DO NOT try and recharge standard alkaline batteries as this may lead to battery leakage or explosion. Standard alkaline batteries and specialized NiMH rechargeable batteries are NOT interchangeable. Only Allmax NiMH rechargeable batteries can be recharged. These batteries can be recharged up to 2,000 times with proper usage. Please properly identify batteries before trying to recharge.
- How can I recharge Almax NiMH rechargeable batteries?
When Allmax NiMH batteries need to be recharged, please take the batteries out of the electronic device and insert them into a third-party battery charger designed to charge NiMH rechargeable batteries. Allmax does not sell a battery charger. Make sure to use a battery charger that will work with NiMH batteries.
- What is the nominal voltage of Allmax AAA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries?
Allmax AAA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries maintain a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts. They are also a suitable replacement for any device that uses a 1.5 volt battery, as the 1.2 volt NiMH rechargeable battery is fully compatible.
- What is the measured capacity of Allmax AAA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries?
Allmax engineers have rigorously tested our rechargeable batteries, and the results demonstrate an impressive capacity exceeding 830mAh. In contrast, numerous other brands often fall short of their labeled or claimed capacities, with some even registering substantially lower test capacities. When testing Allmax, the actual test capacity consistently matches or surpasses the marked capacity on the battery. For those seeking to compare the capacities of various rechargeable battery brands, we recommend not to rely solely on the labeled capacity. Instead, we recommend using a charger with the capability to measure the actual capacity, which will give you a more accurate representation of each battery’s true capacity for a better comparison.
- Where can I find the manufacture date?
You can find the manufacture date on the battery. The label format is MFD(date). So, for example, if the manufacture date is “MFD1122,” the battery was produced in November 2022. Allmax batteries are always considered “fresh” because they are made to order and they are packed and delivered with care to maximize the freshness and quality of the batteries.
- Are Allmax rechargeable batteries considered “low self-discharge”?
Yes. When fully charged, Allmax batteries can retain on average 70% power after 5 years under proper storage conditions. This makes Allmax rechargeable batteries the perfect choice for long-term storage and use.
- How long will it take to fully recharge Allmax rechargeable batteries after power runs out?
Allmax rechargeable batteries are pre-charged and ready to use. They can be recharged at any time with no memory effect. They can also be charged very quickly with rapid charge technology. For Allmax AAA Rechargeable batteries, standard charging mode (0.1C, 80mA), usually takes 16 hours to be fully recharged. Under quick charging mode (0.2C, 160mA), it usually takes 7 hours to be fully recharged. Under rapid charging mode (1C, 800mA), it usually takes 1.1 hours to be fully recharged. Therefore, rapid charging mode is the fastest method to recharge Allmax AAA Rechargeable batteries.
- Will the battery fit in my device?
All Allmax batteries are compliant with IEC standards for electronic products. This means that Allmax batteries should fit into your electronic device. As long as the size of your battery compartment is designed to IEC standards, Allmax rechargeable batteries should perfectly fit. It should be noted that rechargeable batteries are generally larger than alkaline batteries, but are still within the IEC standard size range.
- How are Allmax rechargeable batteries packaged and how to open the packaging?
There are 4 Allmax AAA rechargeable batteries tightly wrapped in plastic shrink packs, with 2 shrink packs per package that are well-packed in boxes that are easy to open, easy to stock, reclosable, and impact-resistant, so your batteries are always protected. To open the packaging, simply use your fingernail to crease the middle of the plastic shrink pack or use a safe household device to crease the middle of the plastic, and then bend the shrink pack to open and access the batteries. - How should I store Allmax rechargeable batteries?
It is best to store rechargeable batteries in a cool, dry place – not too hot and not too cold. Extreme temperatures may cause batteries to explode or may lead to harmful outcomes. We also recommend the batteries be fully charged prior to storage, and for safety reasons, to always keep batteries away from children.
- Are batteries affected by temperature?
Generally speaking, extreme high or low temperatures are not good for batteries. While Allmax rechargeable batteries can operate in cold temperatures of up to -4 ℉, it is still not recommended to expose batteries to extreme temperatures.
- What should I pay attention to during use?
Before using your batteries, please remove the film around the battery and check to see whether the anode and the cathode of the battery compartment look normal, without any dirt or rust. Also, do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types or brands together.
