What are your favorite topics in this book?
I think my favorite topic in this edition is the introduction of AI models. Working with customers and datasets at scale, AI modeling can allow organizations to use Power Automate to exponentially expand their impact on their own business processes.
One of my other favorite topics was exploring a more complex integration between Forms, Power Automate, and SQL database—showcasing how you can use the tools in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to act as the glue between multiple applications.
Who is this book for?
This book is for people who want to expand their impact with automation and get more done. Since the book is progressive in complexity, it will help readers at all levels to become proficient in automating their workloads—even if they’re not programmers by trade.
This book makes use of a lot of screenshots and examples, enabling visual learners to see where something is and how it fits into the puzzle, helping the lightbulb switch on. I also think that repetition of going back to familiar flows and modifying them is key to improving the muscle memory of working with actions and conditions.
What areas of Power Automate are you interested to see develop in the future?
AI models are really exciting from the perspective of helping organizations respond to their customers and business requirements at scale. I’m excited to see how new developments in modeling will help further augment human intelligence and capability and help focus on driving the best outcomes.
