Micron Rating Explanation

Micron ratings are used in water filtration to refer to how small particulates, such as sand, silt, and sediment, are that are removed by the filter. A higher micron rating means the removal of larger particles, smaller particles for a lower micron rating. The rating that’s right for you depends on your water and how often you want to change filters. For example, if your home has a high amount of sediment, a filter with a low micron rating won’t last as long, leading to more frequent filter changes.
