To draw horizontal parallel lines

Hold uler in center with left hand and roll ruler downward. say 1 inch. which distance will automatically register, and be seen in window, draw line any desired length, Roll downward another 1 inch and draw an-other line, repeat as desired(Lines can be all the same distance apart. or. varied as close as 1/16 inch horizontally.)

To draw vertical parallel lines

Place ball point pen or pencil in any hole and roll ruler up or down. Lines as close as 1 inch apart are made in this manner without lifting ruler from paper. (Lines closer than 1 inch are easily accomplished by lifting ruler and placing lines closer.)

To draw circles and arcs

Place pencil or ball point in hole furthest left which acts as center pivot. Swing are or circle by placing pen or pencil in any other hole, till 360°

To draw angles and crosshatching

• b) Place ruler at desired angle along horizontal line
