Cardinal Gates has been dedicated to making homes safer since 1993. Over the years, the company has expanded from the original Hearth Guard to a full line of safety gates for children and pets. We strongly believe our gates are on the market in terms of safety, ease of installation, attractiveness, and durability.

We produce the only aluminum gates which are lightweight and able to weather the elements for exterior use. Many of our gates are constructed entirely of metal parts-for additional strength and durability.

The Cardinal Gates Plug Guard works exclusively with our Socket Guard. The uniquely safe design allows plugs direct access to an electrical outlet while safeguarding the plug against small hands tugging and pulling. The Plug Guard limits access to the plug but doesn't interfere with plug connectivity to the outlet. Even if a pulled cord makes the connection unplug, the outlet remains safety covered and protected by the Plug Guard. The Cardinal Gates Cord Keeper works exclusively with our Socket Guard and Plug Guard. It adds an extra layer of protection to outlet socket safety. The Plug Guard allows safe plug-in of electrical cords and the Cord Keeper further secures the cord portion of the plug, preventing unwanted tugging and pulling, reducing the chance of unplugging a cord and disconnecting electrical access. Both products patents pending.
