Frequently Asked Questions
Q: The pulse oximeter is working fine but it suddenly stops working. Is the pulse oximeter defective?
A: A pulse oximeter measures SpO2 and PR based on the blood flow in your finger. However on a cold day, the blood flow and circulation to your finger is reduced and may not allow the pulse oximeter to detect good pulse signal. To resolve this, simply rub your hands together vigorously to increase the blood flow. Ensure that your hands are warm during your next measurement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My pulse oximeter is not turning on even with fresh/new batteries inserted into the device. What could be the issue?
A: Please make sure that the batteries are installed by matching the plus (+) and the minus (-) signs in the battery compartment. Incorrectly installed batteries will result in no readings and may damage the device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Does this device have any alarm modes for high pr and/or low SpO2?
A: No. The pulse oximeter does not have an alarm. However, the Zacurate 500C Elite Pulse Oximeter has an alarm/sound function. We recommend purchasing this model if you're looking for this feature.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can the Pulse Oximeter be used on children?
A: Yes. However, we highly recommend using our children pediatric pulse oximeter (B01IDMQK96) instead which is specifically made for children. The finger chamber of the Pulse Oximeter may be too big for children with small fingers. This might affect the accuracy of the reading.
