Synology RackStation RS1221+ is a versatile 2U 8-bay network attached storage system that's perfect for data management in short rack-depth environments. RS1221+ is fully capable of handling heavy file workloads and protecting digital assets in small business environments through the comprehensive file management and data protection options found in the DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system.

When it comes to installation, the short form factor of RS1221+ enables easy installation on a 2-post or 4-post 19" rack. Additionally, RS1221RP+ can be installed on a 2-post 19" rack, and its redundant power with failover minimizes the possibility of system downtime due to power outage on a single power distribution channel or power distribution unit (PDU).

Insert adapter cards (sold separately) into the PCIe slot to enhance network throughput and improve I/O.
