So MEGASHADE offers broad-spectrum protection? What does that mean? Broad-spectrum covers both UVA and UVB rays (as opposed to just one). UVA protection works against the aging rays (let's just quickly note that aging is NOT a dirty word!) UVB protection works against the burning rays. MEGASHADE addresses both types of rays for comprehensive sun protection.
Why is MEGASHADE a chemical mineral hybrid? What is that even? Chemical and mineral actives work in different ways — while mineral filters deflect UV rays, chemical absorb the rays and turn them into heat. MEGASHADE’s mineral-chemical hybrid formulation equips your skin with this dual-barrier protection, permitting zero harmful rays to penetrate your skin.
Which sunscreen filters do you use? Zinc Oxide (3%), Homosalate (7.5%), Octisalate (5%) and Octinoxate (7.5%). Zinc acts as a physical filter, and is famously non-irritating. The other three are chemical sunscreens that also score low on the irritation scale while lending a signature silky blendability and dewy finish.
Is MEGASHADE water resistant? Since it is an everyday facial sunscreen and not a body formulation intended for beach-going, MEGASHADE is sweat-resistant but not water-resistant. For this reason, we recommend choosing a different sunscreen to take swimming.
