Timeless Tradition with a Modern Twist
Pachisi: India's Game of Twenty-Five is a traditional game, dating back over 1700 years ago. Starting as a simple cross and circle game, it has influenced family classics for over a century.
In Traditional Pachisi, players break up into teams of two and work together to move their pawns from the center to their home column. For a two-player game, each player takes control of two colors or pawns. Teams take turns tossing cowrie shells, moving their pawns, and blocking/capturing opponents. The first team to move all their pawns back to the center wins!
A modern, vibrant design and themed, quality-made pieces give this classic game an updated look, while still paying homage to the version that started it all.
