- Q: Is it a RISC-V device?
- A: Yes, the built-in MCU within the VIM4's CPU is based on the RISC-V architecture, and the source code is open source.
- Q: Does VIM4 support Dolby Vision.
- A: Presently, this feature is not supported.
- Q: Which sensors are supported by VIM4's ISP (internal signal processor)?
- A: Khadas CSI camera OS08A10 MIPI camera is now supported by VIM4's ISP, For CSI camera from third party, It’s not compatible yet due to hardware and software limitation.
- Q: Is the DIY Case compatible with VIM4? Should I choose the New M2X or M2X Extension Board for VIM4?
- A: The current DIY Case is not compatible with VIM4, we are working on a new case for VIM4. Please choose the New M2X.
- Q: Why is there no sound through the HDMI port using Ubuntu? And no option in the Sound Settings?
- A: The HDMI audio issue with the Ubuntu image was already fixed. Please install the latest Ubuntu image (220620) via OOWOW.
- Q: How about CSI camera compatibility?
- A: It's more like a hardware limitation due to lack of accessories.
- Q: When will Ubuntu hdmi in/hardware decoding be released
- A:The Ubuntu hdmi in/hardware decoding are supported.
- Q:Is multi-screen with independent display contents currently possible?
- A:Yes. HDMI+MIPI dual screen display is supported for desktop only.
