The Xpanstor 4 adopts USB 3.2 Gen 2 with a Type-C socket. USB 3.2 Gen 2 transfers files with up to 10 Gbps. The Xpanstor 4 is also backward compatible with ASUSTOR NAS devices that support USB 3.2 Gen 1 and will operate at the 5 Gbps maximum those devices support.

The Xpanstor 4 supports MyArchive cold storage technology. Directly insert a MyArchive hard drive into an available bay to access data, making data access extremely convenient. Use MyArchive to also set up schedules for backing up with automatic mounting and unmounting, making your backups simpler and more convenient.
Cool and Quiet
The internal fan found inside the Xpanstor 4 automatically adjusts its speed according to hard drive temperatures and maintains a balance between sound and performance.
Stable USB Connection
The Xpanstor 4 has a specially designed USB-C connector and cable. The cable included with your Xpanstor 4 locks in with your expansion unit with two screws on each side of the cable to lock it into the expansion unit to prevent it from being accidentally disconnected. The included USB cable is not proprietary and replaceable, ensuring greater longevity and lower e-waste.
PC-Friendly!
The Xpanstor 4 works well as a DAS solution as well. Plug an Xpanstor 4 into a computer to access up to four independent drives that can be used by a Windows, Mac or Linux machine for applications that include, but are not limited to storage, drive cloning and diagnostics.
