How soon can I use my ice maker out of the box?

Before using this ice maker for the first time please determine final placement and let it sit in an upright position for up to 24 hours. During this waiting period, we recommend cleaning the item to remove any leftover assembly residue

Why should I let my ice maker sit before using it out of the box?

Ice makers in general need time for the internal coolant to settle after it's been moved around. You can use an ice maker before the coolant has settled, but you may experience slower ice making times

Are there any differences between the old and new model of ice maker?

The main difference is size - this is more compact. Feedback we received was that customers wanted a more portable ice maker. This ice machine makes just as much ice as the old one (up to 26lb per day), but it does have a slightly smaller ice basket

How should I store my ice maker?

When you're done making ice, its important that you completely dry out the machine. Whether you are wiping dry or allowing to air dry, you must remove all moisture before storing. If this isn't done, you may experience mold and mildew growth.

Does this ice maker store ice?

Yes and no. It can hold just over a pound of ice at a time, but the ice will melt over time. Thankfully, any melt water will automatically go back to the water reservoir and will be used to make fresh ice.
