The high-quality fan uses a hundred-watt incandescent light bulb (sold separately) and operates at 2.5 Sones with a 50 CFM to be efficient and quiet. While this unit is great for over bathtubs and showers when connected to a GFCI protected branch circuit, it is not for use over cooking surfaces.
