【About the Fast Bracket】The mounting bracket can help to install quickly even if the opening does not small enough to fit perfectly (note that the cutting size still needs to be smaller than the lampshade to ensure effective exhaustion; overall, similar to fan house size is better in effect). If you do not use a bracket, the cutting size needs to be precise to hold the fan house by the clip on the both sides; or if you have ceiling joist/wall, just fix the fan on the joist/wall with the nail as our video showed, no need to use the bracket.

Precautions for Using Consciot 110/160 CFM Bathroom Fan with Light (Up to 160ft)
Installation - NOTE: Mounting ceiling opening dimensions are 11.39 inches x 10.42 inches.
Preset your desired CFM (110/160 CFM) and light color with the two toggle switches.
Ensure Perfect Fit: Adjust the casing of the hole for the optimal fit of your fan. Trace and cut the ceiling with a keyhole saw if the hole is too small. If too big, cut the right size of drywall and use wood and drywall caulk for attachment. The repaired area can be polished with putty later.
Duct -6-inch metal duct (not included) with an anti-backdraft damper for optimal ventilation and air quality.
Insulating ducts can help prevent condensation when warm air from the bathroom meets cold ducts in the attic. To prevent the insulation from slipping off the pipes, wrap the joint with HVAC tape a few times;
In heating and ventilation systems, it is common practice to use sheet metal ductwork and fittings or flexible duct ducting, and use duct tape or aluminum tape to ensure an airtight seal and increase efficiency.
The deep grooves of the flexible pipe can easily bend into the opening and clog the damper. Use semi-rigid pipe, which is made of aluminum and has very shallow corrugations that allow you to bend or stretch it.
Light - If the light or fan is not working, make sure the light and fan cables are connected correctly. This product is only suitable for 120V;
Note: If you would like to use the night light alone, please use 2 switches to control the light and fan separately.If you can only use one switch, and have trouble when changing between the night light and main light, please turn off from the light mode you need, leave it at least for 5 minutes before the next turn on, so the light will remember the current mode and back again next time.
How should I adjust if the ceiling hole size doesn't match the fan? (Please double check install size before purchase)
Please aware - the mounting dimentions of our fan are 11.39" x 10.42".
If the hole is too small, trace the housing onto the ceiling and then cut with a keyhole saw. If it's too big, patch it with a piece of drywall to fit the fan appropriately.
How should I troubleshoot if the light is not working? (Night light mode precautions: please check the section above)
Please ensure you're using a non-dimming switch with good contacts.
Check that the cables to the light and fan are properly connected, and the wire connecting the lampshade to the housing is well inserted.
Please note, the fan only works with 120V.
How should I troubleshoot if fan seems louder than it should?
Check the damper to ensure it opens and closes properly.
Avoid sharp bends in the duct closer than 18 in. to the fan discharge.
Use the recommended size ducting (6-inch).
Ensure the fan and fan house screws are securely attached in place.
How should I troubleshoot if the fan is not effectively clearing the room?
Ensure that a door or window is slightly ajar or open to allow airflow.
Confirm that the fan is vented with the correct size duct(6-inch).
Confirm that the air vent and air intake is not blocked. It is recommended to use rigid or semi-rigid ducting.
How to prevent moisture buildup? (If you have any other questions, please let us know and we will help)
Please avoid venting through soffit or ridge vents, as hot air drawn back into the attic through them can condense. Using insulated ducting can effectively prevent condensation when hot air from bathroom exhausts encounters cold ducts in the attic.
