Adjust the indicator to the fourth mark (Otherwise, inaccurate results may be obtained), press the triangular metal plate at the back with your finger, and position the probe perpendicular to the gemstone. For diamonds, the light will jump to the ninth segment or higher (red light area) and emit beeps. Always reset to the fourth mark before each test
  • METAL DETECTION RESTRICTIONS: The diamond tester is not designed for metal gold type testing. When testing metals, it will emit a rapid beeping sound due to the similarity of the thermal conductivity of the metal to the diamond. It may mimic diamond readings and beep when exposed to high thermal conductivity products. Testing gemstone diamonds only
