Celebrate the Little Things

We simply think it’s impossible to bake a batch of small cupcakes in the Babycakes Cupcake Maker and not have fun. These warm and delectable, perfectly sized bundles are ready in only 5 to 8 minutes. You’ll also enjoy preparing delightful two-bite pies, muffins, appetizers and more — perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

1 ounce Unsweetened Chocolate • 3 TBSP Unsweetened Cocoa
1/4 cup Butter, Softened
1/2 cup Sugar • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 cup + 2 TBSP All-Purpose Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda • 1/4 tsp Baking Powder • 1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup + 2 TBSP Buttermilk
1/2 tsp Vanilla

Rich Vanilla Frosting

1/2 cup Butter, Softened
3 cups Confectioners Sugar
3 TBSP Milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla

1. Beat butter until creamy.

2. Add confectioners sugar and milk and beat until creamy.

3. Beat in vanilla. Beat in an additional 1-2 tsp milk if a thinner consistency is desired.

Fun Tip: Tint frosting by adding drops of liquid food coloring. For a more intense color, use paste food colors.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Directions

1. Melt unsweetened chocolate in microwave according to package directions - let cool to room temperature.

2. Beat together butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the cooled chocolate.

3. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa. In another bowl, stir together the buttermilk and vanilla.

4. Add a quarter of the flour mixture to the egg and sugar mixture and blend. Add one third of the buttermilk and blend. Continue adding flour and buttermilk, ending with flour. Do not over beat.

5. Fill each baking reservoir with 3-4 TBSP batter. Bake in cupcake maker about 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

In no time at all, you'll be baking and decorating cupcakes for family and friends. Nothing could be simpler or sweeter! Bake a dozen standard-size cupcakes in minutes.
