The variable flow teat helps prevent the baby from choking when milk flows too fast. The nipple teat mimics a baby bottle, aiding the transition from breastfeeding to bottle-feeding.
THE USE OF ROUND BASE NIPPLE SHIELD - Before suctioning to your breast, express a few drops of milk into the shield. This will encourage your baby to accept the shield's nipple as they latch on. Before use, clean the shield in boiling water and ensure your breast is clean and dry. Then, squeeze the chamber, fold back the base and centre over the nipple. Press onto your breast and slowly release until you feel light suction. You may need to adjust a few times until you find a comfortable position. As your baby feeds, your milk will flow continuously into the extended teat.
