Why did my mold set too quickly or not set at all?
Water temperature is key. For best results, use water between 75°F - 78°F. Warmer water will cause the mold to set quicker, while cooler water will make it set slower. Be sure to follow the mixing instructions closely for smooth, accurate results.
What if my baby moves and the mold looks distorted?
A little wiggling is completely normal, and most of the time, the mold still turns out great. We recommend creating the mold when your baby is most calm.
How do I avoid air bubbles in the casting?
Pour the casting stone slowly, and tilt and tap the container to help the mix flow into all spaces. After partially filling, repeat the tilt and tap motion once more to capture all the fine details.
How can I make sure the baby’s hand or foot is positioned correctly in the mold?
It’s important that your baby’s hand or foot doesn’t touch the bottom or sides of the container while the mold is setting. This can distort the final shape.
