The NESCO Food Steamer cooks a wide variety of food including vegetables, seafood, meat, poultry, fruits, eggs, and grains. This steamer comes with an attractive, 400-Watt, stainless steel wrapped heating base that holds two cups of water which allows for up to 60 minutes of steaming time. The two, clear-plastic, BPA free steaming bowls are ideal for separating different foods and the removable divider is perfect for corn or taller foods. The BPA free, two-cup rice bowl fits in both steam trays and works great for eggs, tamales and many other steamed dishes. The 2.5 qt. steaming trays are great for family-sized portions and are clear plastic which means you can monitor your food without losing steam. This steamer provides added safety with a power indicator light, a 60-minute timer, and an automatic shut-off function in case the heating base runs out of water.
