Forehead temperature

This unit measures the temperature at the surface of the forehead by sensing infrared emission of the skin at the measured point, and then calculates the oral-equivalent value using a unique algorithm based on actual body temperature survey data.

Room temperature

The room temperature remains on the display even after the unit turn off.

Surface temperature

Surface measurement mode shows the actual surface temperature of an object, which is different from the body temperature. This mode can help you determine if the object temperature is suitable for a patient or baby (such as baby milk).

Key Points about Fever

It is a medical sign characterized by an increased body temperature above the normal range. Fever is not considered medically significant until body temperature is above 38°C.

It can be caused by a number of reasons: in most cases by infectious diseases (such as flu & pneumonia).

Fever is not by itself an illness but a defense mechanism.

However, if it rises above 39.4 °C, some actions have to be taken to reduce it. It meant that the body is no longer able to control its inner temperature.
