Acknowledge before purchase:

1. The smell customers may see on the first use is from a protective coating of oil that is used during the manufacturing process. The smell is exposed to the extreme heat inside of the heating base from the insulation surrounding the heating base cavity. The smell will automatically fade away after the couple time's usage. For the beginning of the usage, it's recommended that you not cook any food, boil only water for a couple cycles.
2. It is normal to hear a chirping sound for the first time. When the unit is brand new and has not been in use for a while and could just be an indication that the heat is coming on. After it gets warmed up and run for a few minutes, the noise will stop. When the internal heating element is heating up, and it reaches an internal pressure greater than that outside, it must release that pressure. It is known as the sound produced. At this point, recommend you to twist the timer to MAX and wait about 1-2 mins and see if the sounds still exist.
3. It is normal that the boiling speeds of the two sides are different if the two sides have different soup. For example, spicy soup and oily soup always boil faster than clear soup.
