--Eric Dahlquist wrote an article entitled 'Factory Tour: The Building of the People’s Car' in the July 1973 issue of Motor Trend. It touched on VW history, but focused mostly on the then-modern operation of the Wolfsburg plant. 'Every worker in America ought to just get a picture of what he’s up against,' suggested Dahlquist.
-- In July 1973 issue, Motor Trend selected the Volkswagen to be among its automotive Hall of Fame nominees.
