Three ways to solve the problem of magnetic strip does not work:
1. If the door seal does not have good magnetic properties, pour some vegetable oil on a paper towel and apply it to the seal near the door hinge from top to bottom, then close the door. 2.Spread a thin coat of petroleum jelly along the sealing surface of the door gasket to help the new gasket seal properly. 3.Close the door and check the fit. The door gasket should fit tightly against the cabinet and door with no gaps showing. Then secure it with tape for 12 hours.

- Find the Part Number:Locate the part number for your particular refrigerator unit. You can then use this part number to search for your exact gasket for your OEM. You can also look up the gasket’s part number in your user’s manual or part manual if the part number cannot be located on the gasket itself.
- Measure Your Gasket: Measuring your gasket not only informs you on the dimensions of the replacement needed, but can also help you cross-reference as you’re parts shopping for your OEM’s recommended one.
