To strengthen service quality, FADO168 implements a comprehensive Risk Protection Policy that applies to all eligible international shipping orders.
Below is the full policy overview.
The Insurance Plan applies only to shipments that are lost during transit—starting from the moment the package is received at the FADO168 overseas warehouse until it is successfully delivered to the recipient.
Important Note
FADO168 does not take responsibility for:
• Incorrect shipping addresses provided by the customer
• Wrong or missing customer codes
• False, incomplete, or misleading item declarations

FADO168 offers multiple coverage levels to suit different product types and shipment values. Below is the detailed breakdown:
Coverage level:
15.00 USD per kilogram
Compensation does not exceed the actual value of the missing goods.
This option applies automatically if customers do not purchase declared-value insurance or fail to meet the declaration deadlines.
Compensation:
70% of the declared value of the shipment
Maximum payout: 2,000 USD per package
Insurance fee:
0.8% of the declared value
Requirements:
Customers must upload tracking information and declare the package contents within 72 hours from the time the parcel arrives at the FADO168 overseas warehouse.
Compensation:
100% of the declared value of the shipment
Insurance fee:
2% of the declared value
Mandatory for premium or high-risk categories such as:
The system will automatically calculate a 2% insurance fee for these items when the declared value is updated.
Important reminder: If the customer fails to upload tracking or declare the product value within 72 hours of warehouse arrival, compensation will default to Standard Compensation, even if the customer has already paid for declared-value insurance.
Customers can purchase a yearly plan, with compensation covering all shipments within the validity period.
Available options:
150 USD per year
Maximum total compensation: 5,000 USD per year
300 USD per year
Maximum total compensation: 13,000 USD per year
450 USD per year
Maximum total compensation: 25,000 USD per year
These plans are ideal for frequent shippers who want fixed, predictable insurance coverage throughout the year.
FADO168 is exempt from liability and will not provide compensation in the following circumstances:
- Force majeure: Natural disasters, floods, pandemics, wars, or similar uncontrollable events.
- Packages with internal damage caused by improper seller packaging. If the parcel arrives at the FADO168 warehouse with:
Torn, dented, wet, or severely deformed packaging
Leaking contents
Broken internal items due to poor packaging by the seller
- Shipments missing items, broken inside, or having visible packaging damage upon arrival at the warehouse are not eligible unless supported by valid proof and proper packaging standards.
- Incorrect shipping address, wrong customer code, or falsified item descriptions provided by the customer.
- Shipments involving suspicious, illegal, counterfeit, stolen, or fraud-related products.
- Packages purchased using stolen credit cards, hacked PayPal accounts, fraudulent balances, or unauthorized gift cards.
- If FADO168 suspects illegal origins, we reserve the right to hand the shipment over to local authorities without liability.
a. Goods purchased from online websites
Customers must provide: Valid invoice showing full order details, including customer code and FADO168 warehouse address.
b. Goods sent by individuals to the FADO168 warehouse
Customers must provide:
- Shipping receipt showing declared value and package weight
- Courier tracking number (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, etc.)
Claim processing time: 7 days after submission of complete documents.
a. Goods purchased from e-commerce websites
First, FADO168 will guide you to contact the seller. If the seller confirms they shipped all items and refuses to resend the missing products, FADO168 will compensate according to the selected insurance plan.
b. Goods sent by individuals
Required documents:
- Shipping invoice
- Courier tracking number
Claim processing time: 14 days after submission of complete documents.
a. New Products
Eligible for compensation if:
- Goods were originally packed following standard international packaging requirements
- Goods were purchased from professional commercial sellers
- Damage occurred due to strong transportation impact
Exclusions: Fragile goods such as glassware, crystal, or certain household items require pre-shipment notice for additional packaging. Customers must contact FADO168 in advance for proper handling.
Responsibility is assessed based on:
- Product condition upon arrival at FADO168 warehouse
- Seller’s packaging quality
- Proof of purchase from a professional seller
b. Used or Second-Hand Products
Not eligible for compensation if damaged due to:
- Improper packaging by sellers
- Non-standard packing for domestic or international transit
Examples of commonly excluded used items:
- Used speakers
- Wall clocks
- Desk clocks
- Used decorative items
- Used lighting fixtures
These items are often purchased through auctions (eBay) or from non-professional sellers, therefore not covered.
Customers must comply with all requirements to be eligible for compensation.
- Upload tracking number and declare the product value within the required timeframe (24–72 hours depending on the plan).
- All goods must have legal origin and verifiable documentation.
- Items shipped from individuals must not involve theft, fraud, or illegal activity.
- Items purchased from websites must be bought using valid credit/debit cards owned by the customer or with documented authorization.
- Prohibited items or items falsely declared will void insurance eligibility.
